He made it clear that it takes a visionary leader with courage and welfare of his subjects at heart to do that. He noted that Amawusa and Ekeukwu Market located along Douglas road have long constituted a security threat to the state while projecting it in a very bad light.

The Ugwumba lauded the Governor for exhibiting qualities that distinguishes him as an exceptional leader who feels the heartbeat of his people.
He said, by action, the Governor has saved the state and its inhabitants from the dangers posed to their security by the activities that go on in the area, adding that Imolites and other residents can now heave a sigh of relief as the activities of touts, pick pockets, cultists, fraudsters, armed robbers, illegal tax collectors and other vices in the area have now been brought to a halt.
Meanwhile, Ugwumba has expressed sadness over the unfortunate incident of a 10 year old boy who was said to have been gunned down by a stray bullet as a result of some miscreants who attacked security men on duty with sophisticated weapons.
He urged the parents to take heart and take solace in the Lord even as he disclosed that the state government has intensified effort to unravel the mystery behind his death and take appropriate actions.
The Chief of Staff advised those who may have been negatively affected by the exercise to remain calm and take it in good faith as it would later turn out to be in their favour. He said that the responsive government is perfecting plans to cushion the effect on them.
