The body of late Chief Cyril Nwokorobia was weekend, interred in his hometown, Ugbele, in Njaba LGA. Until his death, he was the Chairman of Land Allocation Committee.
At the burial, Governor Okorocha announced automatic employment in the Ministry of Justice for the two Children of the late Nwokorobia who are all Law graduates. And also announced that one of the daughters of the man already working at the Imo State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (ISOPADEC) be confirmed and promoted.
In addition, Governor Okorocha announced that the road built by his administration which passed in front of the house of the late Nwokorobia and a big roundabout at Umuaka also constructed by his administration have been named after him, describing the deceased as a dedicated member of the Rescue Mission family.
He also directed the Chief of Staff, Uche Nwosu to get a land in Owerri and build a house for the family, stressing that all he had done was to reward dedication and steadfastness.
He said “I have lost a great friend who believed and died for the course of the Rescue Mission. Chief Nwokorobia was a good and wonderful man who worked for the development of his area and society at large. He would be greatly missed as he was part of the conquering apostles of the Rescue Mission and his death would not separate him from the family as the relationship would be sustained”.
