Okorocha hails Sister’s virtues at birthday party

Imo State Governor, Anayo Rochas Okorocha has described his sister, Hon. Mrs. Ogechi Ololo as being qualified for the highest political position in the state.

The governor was speaking at the birthday party of his sister, held Saturday, 11th March, 2017 at the VIP Lounge of New Concorde Hotel Owerri.

According to the Governor, “If Ogechi was not my sister, she qualifies to hold the highest office in Imo state”.

The Governor further said that his sister is a great asset to Imo people, noting that as he quits governance of the state in a very short time, Ogechi and other members of the rescue mission team will be released to exercise their muscles in politics until they discover their talent.

While celebrating with his sister on the occasion of her birthday, the governor described Ogechi as very honest, hardworking, lover of humanity and a team player.

Earlier, the husband of the celebrant, Engr Chuks Ololo lavished encomiums on his wife, describing her as being very caring and a strong pillar not just for the family but also for their community.

The celebrant said she was so grateful to God for her new age and was all smiles while appreciating her husband for the surprise birthday party.

On her friends who came to celebrate with her, Ogechi said they have demonstrated love in a way she least expected and was particularly grateful to the governor and his wife for their presence.

Top government officials including the governor’s Chief of Staff, Uche Nwosu and other dignitaries who graced the occasion took turns to shower praises on the celebrant, who according to them, had been a wonderful friend and colleague.

The highpoint of the occasion was the cutting of the birthday cake and gift presentation by guests.

Insists on younger successor

No fewer than 2000 Imo youths were on Thursday 9th March, 2017 addressed by the Governor of Imo State, Anayo Rochas Okorocha. The youth body under the aegis of Imo State Youth Parliament were on solidarity visit to the governor.

Addressing the youths at the Victory Chapel, Government House Owerri, Okorocha remarked that the youths are filled with potentials, waiting to be harnessed and promised to help them realize their dreams.

“Some of you here are potentially rich. Some of you here are silent millionaires. When your eyes are open and you know what I know, you will begin to discover yourself”.

The governor maintained that the major problem of the country is neither recession nor poverty but so much ignorance and affirmed his resolve to address the problem in Imo state through organizing lectures and seminars where motivational speakers, experts and his likes will be invited to talk to Imo youths.

Okorocha reposed confidence that his campaign promises on job creation will soon commence and scored self high in urban renewal project that has brought about the dualization of the major roads in the city.

He reiterated his position on a younger person to succeed him when he exits as Imo governor in next two and half years.

“I want to assure you that as I exit as the governor in the next two and half years, a younger person will come. We cannot afford to continue with the old system, from Arthur Nzeribe – Iwuanyanwu – Kema Chikwe – Udenwa. I have retired all of them to Abuja, Okorocha said.”

Earlier in an interview with the press, the Governor’s Special Adviser on Youths and Sports, Hon. Kenneth Emelu attributed the solidarity visit to the love and passion the youths of Imo state have for the governor. He advised them to keep on working for the governor and be genuine in all they do.
