A group of Imo state youths under the aegis of Social Media Searchlight Concept (SMSC), has decorated Engr Kingsley Uju with the ‘Most Youth-Friendly Man of the Year 2016’ award.

Also decorated with the ‘Legislator of the Year 2016’ award, was Engr. Obinna Onwubuariri, Member representing Isiala Mbano, Onuimo and Okigwe Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives.

The investiture held on Saturday at All Seasons Hotel, New Owerri.

Speaking during an interview with Newsmen shortly after the event, Engr Uju who is the Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations, Imo State Government, noted that the award was a demonstration of the enormous love he enjoys from Imo state youths.

He opined that well-meaning individuals should use every opportunity given them by God, to touch the lives of the less privileged of the society and promised to keep the flag flying since Imo youths deemed him fit for such an honour.

The Deputy Chief of Staff did not mince words when he said that he had resolved to use the occasion as a stepping stone to do more for the good people of the state, adding that his commitment to the rescue mission government earned him the honour.

“I know I am not the best, richest and most exalted, but because of my commitment and belief in the rescue mission government, I am being remembered today by a group that is apolitical”, Uju hinted.

Joined in the celebration were personalities of the oil rich regions of Ohaji, Egbema and Oguta Local Government Areas, who in their separate remarks described the award as a well-deserved one.

Highpoint of the occasion was the presentation of portraits of both awardees.
