As collection of appointment letters begins

In fulfillment of his promise to provide jobs to a good number of Imo Youths especially the graduates among them, the governor of the State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has, through the relevant Commissions offered employment to 3,000 graduates into the State Civil Service and the Local Government Service.

For the State Civil Service, a total of 1,499 graduates have been engaged, while 1,501 graduates have been employed into the Local Government System, and in each case, their departments came with the publications containing their names.

Already, they have all begun to collect their appointment letters and the governor has assured that he would confirm their appointments within the period specified by the relevant rules, with most of those employed being computer literate.

Before now, the governor had promised to inject new blood into the State Civil Service and the Local Government Service with the aim of making the entire setting vibrant and productive in the overall interest of the State and her people.

Again, it should also be recalled that the government had long before now and for the sake of the free education programme, engaged more than three thousand teachers to beef up the teaching staff in the State School System and the result of that lofty action has been wonderful and highly commendable.

Indeed, the re-purchasing of the Resin Paint Company in Mbaise and handing it over to a Chinese Company and the Shoe Industry Owerre-Ebeiri for productivity were all aimed at boosting the economy of the State and providing jobs for Imo youths.

The governor congratulates all the youths who have been employed in the current exercise after series of interviews and charged them not to disappoint the State.

The governor also commended the Personnel of the State Civil Service Commission and the Local Government Service Commission for doing a good job and for not letting the State down in the course of recruiting the employed graduates.
