A free medical programme organized by Imo Foundation, an outfit established by Governor Okorocha of Imo State for humanitarian services has ended in Owerri, the state capital.
The programme which took place at the premises of Imo Foundation New Owerri was carried out in conjunction with Imo Medical Professionals in the United States of America.
It has a special focus on the poorest of the poor who could not afford medical treatment for their various health challenges.
Speaking to newsmen at the programme, the Director General of the Foundation, Mrs Pat Ekeh attributed the success of the programme to the massive support of Governor Okorocha and his wife Ugo-Nneoma Nkechi.
The DG noted that their love for the needy and less privileged is very commendable and worthy of emulation.
Adding his voice the team leader of Imo Medical Professionals in USA, Dr Clifford Ekeh, said the free medical exercise was successful despite some few challenges.
Most of the beneficiaries were beaming with smiles as they did not hide their joy while appreciating the Governor for saving their lives.
